The Cougar varsity boys entered the NCHSAA tournament this week as a #6 seed with a 14-9 record. They host #11 Polk County (14-10) on Monday in Burnsville.
Heritage, the # 3 seed, jumped on top of #6 seed Madison early in their opening round WHC Tourney game. The Cougars led 14-6 after one quarter and by halftime they were up by nine points. They never trailed in the 54-42 victory.
