Mountain Heritage JV Girls Stop Madison Lady Patriots In Finale

The Lady Cougar JV finished the season on a positive note after posting a five point win over Madison last week. The enter WHC tournament play with a record of 10-7 overall and 6-6 in league play. Heritage, the #5 seed will take on # 4 seed Madison in a 6:30 p.m. contest on Monday at Polk Middle School.

The Lady Cougars overcame a nine point halftime deficit against the Lady Patriots in the regular season finale to earn a 40-35 win.

Five consecutive free throws by Hunter Young in the final minute allowed Heritage to pull out the come from behind victory.

Young finished with 11 points for the Lady Cougars who were paced by the 13 point performance of Kendyl Neil.
